2004 Husker Nation Tour Details Released

Lincoln -- The University of Nebraska Athletic Department released details today regarding sites and times for the 2004 Husker Nation Tour brought to you by First National Bank. The one-day goodwill tour will hit 26 towns across Nebraska on Friday, June 25.

NU athletic director Steve Pederson, athletic department representatives, head football coach Bill Callahan and selected assistant coaches, other head coaches and players will take part in the 26-city tour. They will divide into five groups to visit fans, boosters and media around the state.

Pederson and Callahan will open the day with a send-off event at the First National Tower Plaza in Omaha from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. The two will cover more ground than any other group, visiting six cities during the day and traveling as far west as Scottsbluff before returning to Lincoln to stop by the festivities at SouthPointe Pavilions Friday night.

Pinnacle Sports Productions will play a vital role in bringing the Husker Nation Tour to Nebraska fans who are unable to attend one of the tour stops. Pinnacle will utilize network stations across the state to promote the tour. In addition, Pinnacle Sports personalities Jim Rose, Adrian Fiala, John Bishop, Randy Lee and Matt Davison will each travel with one of the five tour groups.

They will report back to Gary Sharp, who will host Sports Nightly live from SouthPointe Pavilions beginning at 6 p.m. Fans should stay tuned to their local Pinnacle stations for changes in venue in case of inclement weather.
