Lincoln - University of Nebraska Athletic Director Steve Pederson announced Thursday the promotion of Holly Adam to Director of Ticket Operations.
Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Marketing John Anderson will continue to oversee ticket operations, but his new role will put primary emphasis in helping with men’s and women’s basketball season tickets. Anderson will also focus on the Husker Nation Pavilion tent sales and begin to initiate ticket plans for the Memorial Stadium expansion, scheduled to be completed in time for the 2006 football season.
In her new role, Adam will become the main day-to-day contact for all ticketing issues and will be responsible for all functions of the Nebraska Ticket operation, including distribution and sales of tickets for all ticketed events. Adam will oversee Nebraska’s ticket office operation, as the staff works at over 100 sporting events on campus a year, including conference and NCAA events.
"We are thrilled that Holly will be directing our Ticket Office," Executive Associate A.D. Marc Boehm said. "Her energy and passion will allow us to build upon our customer service to give our fans the best possible experience when purchasing tickets for Husker sporting events."
"With Holly taking on her new responsibilities, it allows John Anderson to concentrate on marketing our tickets to all venues, specifically men’s and women’s basketball," Boehm said. "The growth in both basketball programs, as well as the upgrades we have made to the Devaney Center in recent years, has created an increased interest, and John will work to enhance our fan base for both programs, and for all of our athletic teams."
Adam began her NU career in 1993 as a student worker in the Nebraska Ticket Office before she became full-time in 1995. Adam served as assistant director for the past eight years prior to her promotion.
A native of Daykin, Neb., Adam graduated from Meridian High School in 1992 before receiving a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in August of 1997. She and her husband, Todd of Odell, have a 4-year-old son, Logan, and a 1-year-old daughter, Ashlyn.
