Lincoln ? A minimum of five Nebraska baseball games will be televised in 2004, as Fox Sports Net, College Sports Television and Nebraska Educational Television released their 2004 broadcast schedules this week.
The Huskers will make three appearances on Nebraska Educational Television (NETV) throughout the spring, as matchups with Texas Tech (April 10), Texas A&M (May 1) and Creighton (May 18) will be shown live throughout the state. The Texas Tech and Texas A&M contests will also be shown nationally on College Sports Television (CSTV) on a tape-delayed basis, including Ch. 610 on DirecTV.
The Huskers will make at least one appearance as part of the Big 12’s regional baseball package with Fox Sports Net. Nebraska’s game at Texas on Saturday, April 24th will air on Fox Sports Net with a first pitch slated for 3 p.m. The game was originally a 2:05 p.m. start, but has been moved for TV. In addition, Fox Sports Net will carry three games from the Big 12 Tournament in Arlington, Texas, on May 29-30. The network will air both semifinals live at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, as well as the championship game on May 30th at 1 p.m.
Nebraska has already made one appearance on Fox Sports Net this season, as its game against Minnesota earlier this month was shown regionally on Fox Sports North. In addition, nearly every regular-season game, both home and away, are video streamed live on HuskersNside, a subscription-based service of the NU Athletic Department.
