Gutschewski Off to Strong Start on Nationwide Tour

Former Husker Scott Gutschewski got his Nationwide Tour season off to a strong start this past weekend at the Jacobs Creek Open in Adelaide, Australia.

 

Gutschewski finished in a tie for fifth place after completing four rounds of play with a three-under-par 281 total, six shots behind tournament winner Euan Walters. Gutschewski made a strong move in Saturday’s third round with a four-under 67 at Kooyonga Golf Club, and posted an even-par 71 in the final round.

 

Gutschewski’s finish netted him a payday of $29,117 and sits in ninth place on the tour’s money list. Gutschewski is among the 78 players entered in this week’s Nationwide event the New Zealand PGA Championship. The Nationwide then takes a month break before returning to the United States the last weekend in March.
