Crouch to Work as TV Analyst for Nebraska-ISU Game

Lincoln -- Nebraska legend Eric Crouch, winner of the 2001 Heisman Trophy, will be the game analyst for the pay-per-view telecast of the Saturday, Oct. 25 Iowa State-Nebraska football game.

Crouch and veteran play-by-play announcer Dave Armstrong call the action live from Lincoln, Neb. Keith Murphy and Bill Doleman serve as sideline reporters for the telecast.

This is Crouch’s first role as a college football live game analyst. He entered sports television earlier this year as a reporter for KETV in Omaha, Neb. The Omaha native quarterbacked Nebraska from 1998 to 2001 and ended his collegiate career holding 32 school records.

"We’re thrilled to have Eric, a Nebraska football superstar and up-and-coming sportscaster, in the television booth for this game," said Fox Sports Net Vice President and General Manager Jack Donovan. "Eric will be able to provide unique insight into Big 12 football for the viewers of our pay-per-view telecast."

The Iowa State-Nebraska football game will be telecast via pay-per-view on participating cable systems in Iowa and Nebraska and nationwide to satellite dish customers. Big 12 Special Order Sports, Fox Sports Net’s pay-per-view division, will produce and distribute the telecast. Kickoff from Lincoln, Neb. is 11:40 AM CDT. Fans interested in purchasing the telecast should contact their cable or satellite provider for ordering information and pricing. A list of programming providers that have agreed to offer the telecast will be distributed later this week.

The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it was not selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. Under conference TV rules, games not picked up for regular television distribution can only be televised live on pay-per-view.
