Oehme Wins Flight at Drake Tournament

Des Moines, Iowa ? Nebraska senior Anna Oehme won the Lloyd Stokstad Invitational White Flight with a 6-2, 6-2, win over teammate Rebecca Harvey in an all-Husker final Sunday afternoon. Oehme, who defeated Colorado State’s Jasmin Singh, 6-2, 6-2, in the semifinals yesterday, finished the tournament with a 4-0 record. All four of Oehme’s wins were in straight sets.

Harvey, also a senior, secured a spot in the White Flight finals after defeating Colorado State’s Jessica Jones, 6-2, 6-2, on Saturday. She finished the tournament with a 3-1 record.

NU senior Rose Ketmayura (3-1) also played Sunday, falling to Colorado State’s Carla Pallares, 7-6 (4), 6-3, in the Grey Flight finals. Ketmayura advanced to the finals of the Grey Flight with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over CSU’s Alexandra Paganetti Saturday.

The Huskers conclude the fall season at the ITA Central Region Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, Oct. 22-26.
