Lincoln -- The Huskers football team enjoyed beautiful warm fall weather as they put the final preparations in place for the matchup with Missouri. The Huskers went through a typical Thursday practice without pads, from approximately 3:30 to 5:10 p.m.
While every game is important and taken one day at a time, Head Coach Frank Solich said the game with Missouri is a key conference game. ?This game seems to have added importance with Big 12 North implications,' Solich said.
Solich said that snapper Richie Incognito was named the Special Teams Captain for the Missouri game. Incognito is Nebraska's long snapper as well as starting left tackle. "Richie has done a good job snapping and made a touchdown saving tackle on special teams against Southern Mississippi," Solich said.
Solich said the travel roster will not be set until just before departure tomorrow. The Huskers will take off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, giving the team opportunity to attend all afternoon classes. After dinner and a movie, the Huskers will have a 9:30 p.m. walkthrough at Faurot Field.
