Lincoln ? The Big 12 Conference announced Monday afternoon that ABC is using one of its three potential "six-day picks" for the weekend of Oct. 18. Because of this, Husker fans will learn the start time of Nebraska's game with Texas A&M on Sunday, Oct. 12. As soon as Nebraska Athletic Department learns the starting time, it will be posted on Huskers.com and released to the media.
Currently, there are three start time options for the game between the No. 10/7 Huskers and Aggies; 11:30 a.m. (Fox Sports Net), 12:30 p.m. (No television) and 6 p.m. (Fox Sports Net).
ABC will carry one of the following games (Colorado at Kansas State or Texas Tech at Oklahoma State) for its 2:30 p.m. regional broadcast, while Nebraska's matchup with Texas A&M is one of five games with television possibilities (Texas at Iowa State and Missouri at Oklahoma are the other potential television selection). The only Big 12 game not being considered for television on Oct. 18 is the match-up between Baylor and Kansas.
Usually, starting times are announced 12 days prior to kickoff, but ABC has a pair of "six-day windows," giving the network the chance to pick the best matchup for the over-the-air broadcast. With this announcement, ABC has up to two "six-day picks" remaining for the 2003 season.
