All of Nebraska's September games will be on television as Fox Sports Net has picked the Sept. 6 Utah State game for an 11:30 a.m. telecast and ESPN will air the Southern Mississippi game to a national audience at 6:30 p.m. Central.
Nebraska Athletic Director Steve Pederson said, "I think it is terrific that we start the season with such great national television exposure. Husker Nation and college football fans from coast to coast will enjoy watching our team."
Nebraska Football Coach Frank Solich said, "We are excited about the opportunity to play on television several times early in the season. It will give us national exposure early and I know the players are looking forward to it."
The rest of the game times will be determined by television selections two weeks in advance of each game. The Big 12 Conference has television contracts with ABC, Fox Sports Net and TBS.
