Parker Accepts Assistant Coaching Job at Drake

Lincoln - Director of Operations Dr. Micah Parker has resigned his administrative position with the University of Nebraska women's basketball program to become an assistant coach at Drake University.

Parker, who spent one season at Nebraska after spending four seasons as the head women's basketball coach at Concordia (NAIA) in Seward, Neb., joined former Husker assistant coach Amy Stephens on the Bulldogs' staff.  Stephens accepted the head coaching position at Drake on April 22.

In four seasons at Concordia, Parker led the Bulldogs to an 80-41 overall record, including a 28-6 mark in 2001-02.  Concordia also advanced to the Sweet 16 in the 2002 NAIA Tournament.
