Nebraska Wraps Up Regular Season and Honors Seniors Against Colorado

The Nebraska soccer team will honor its four seniors in the final regular-season home game Friday at 7 p.m. at the Abbott Sports Complex against the University of Colorado.  Nebraska, 10-5-3 on the season and 5-3-1 in Big 12 play, will wrap up the season against the Buffs before heading to the conference tournament.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

The Buffaloes are 9-6-2 on the season and 4-3-2 in the conference in 2002.  Colorado is fresh off of a sweep of Oklahoma, 2-1, and Oklahoma State, 1-0.

Nebraska came back from a 2-1 loss to Oklahoma State, to drop Oklahoma, 1-0, Sunday afternoon.  The Huskers have recorded shutouts in every win this season, including four out of the last five games.

NU was on a roll until they stubbed its toe on OSU, but the Huskers are bound and determined to salvage this season and continue to reach for their goals of a Big 12 Tournament crown and an NCAA College Cup appearance.

Nebraska tied CU last season in Boulder, which eliminated NU from the regular-season championship race, leaving the Huskers half of a game behind Texas for the league title.

Nebraska's chances for a regular-season conference championship have been eliminated with losses to Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State, but NU's final game will effect its seed in the Big 12 Tournament.
