LINCOLN, Neb.----- The Nebraska men's track and field team has signed Courtney Jones of Lancaster, Texas to a national letter of intent. Jones will be a 110-meter hurdler for the Huskers. While at Lancaster High School, he was the 2002 Texas 4A State Champion in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.78.
"We feel very fortunate to have been able to sign Courtney," said sprints and hurdles coach Billy Maxwell. "He's a great student and we're expecting big things from him. In years to come we fully expect him to make it to nationals."
Jones is the 12th athlete to sign with the Husker track and field team for the upcoming season.
