Latham, Anderson earn Soccer Buzz All-America honors

Nebraska junior forward Christine Latham">Christine Latham and senior midfielder Meghan Anderson were named All-Americans by Soccer Buzz (www.soccerbuzz.com) on Thursday, Jan. 10. Latham earned first-team honors, while Anderson was named to the third team.

Latham, the Big 12 player of the year, finished the season with a conference-best 46 points on 18 goals and 10 assists. She moved her career total to 53 goals, which ties for first in school history with Kim Engesser. Latham also earned third-team NSCAA All-America honors.

Anderson finished her career as Nebraska's all-time leading scorer with 146 points on 48 goals and 47 assists. She also became just the 29th NCAA Division I athlete to record both 40 career goals and 40 career assists. Anderson finished the season with 34 points on 10 goals and 14 assists.

The Huskers ended their season at 17-5-1 with a loss to Portland on Nov. 24 in the NCAA Tournament's round of 16.
