Twelve members of the Nebraska soccer team earned Academic All-Big 12 Conference honors, including 10 first-team selections, the league office announced Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Seniors Meghan Anderson, Becky Preston, Kelly Rheem and Shannon Tanaka earned first-team academic all-conference honors for the third time in their career, while juniors Breanna Boyd, and Paige Phillips earned first-team honors for the second consecutive season.
Junior Kori Saunders also earned first-team honors in 2001.
Selected to the first-team for the first time were sophomores Lindsey Greenwood, Kelly Haxton and Erin Miller. Senior Danica Carey, a first-team selection in 2000, and sophomore Christy Harms earned second-team all-conference honors. Freshmen are not eligible for academic all-conference honors.
