Lincoln -- The University of Nebraska Swimming and Diving team held an intrasquad scrimmage this afternoon at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Pool, with the White team downing the Red team, 89-69.
Junior Susan Walker led the White team to victory. Walker picked up wins in the 200- (2:01.35) and 500-yard free events (5:13.62), as well as the 100-yard back (1:05.38), 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley (2:17.31).
Junior Laura Landgreen, swimming for the White team, touched the wall in 34.27 to win the50-yard breaststroke, setting a new personal best. Landgreen also finished runner-up in the 200-yard IM, setting another personal best in 2:20.14.
Freshman Kristen Gordon led the Red team with wins in the 100-yard free (58.26) and 50-yard back (29.24). Gordon also finished runner-up in the 100-yard back (1:10.87).
Sophomore Jerilyn Drummond">Jerilyn Drummond swept the diving events, winning both the one- 181.35) and the three-meter (191.10) springboard events.
The Huskers open the regular season Nov. 16-18 at the Minnnesota Invitational in Minneapolis.
