Freshmen Vice, Wyatt Take Titles at USATF Junior Nationals

Richmond, Va . -- Nebraska freshmen Na'Tassia Vice and Kyle Wyatt claimed event titles at the USATF Junior National Championships in Richmond, Va., June 16-17. Vice won the high jump with a personal-best leap of 5-9 3/4, while Wyatt placed first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a mark of 9:08.43.

Also competing for the Huskers was freshman Kyle Odvody, who cleared 7-1 to finish third in the high jump. Freshman Frank Tolen finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 23-11 3/4.

In the discus, freshman Emily Duran finished 11th with a mark of 141-1.
