NU's Livesey in Second Through First Day of Heptathlon

College Station, Texas -- Nebraska junior Katherine Livesey sits in second place in the heptathlon through the first day of the Big 12 Track and Field Championships on Wednesday. Livesey, who finished sixth in the event last year, posted 3,476 points through the first four events at the Frank G. Anderson Track and Field Complex.

In the decathlon, sophomore Casey Thom finished the first day in seventh place with 3,640 points. Thom took seventh in the event at last year's outdoor league championships.

The meet continues Thursday, beginning at 11 a.m.
