Lincoln, Neb. -- The University of Nebraska women's swimming and diving team fell at home this weekend by the University of Georgia.
The Husker women were outscored by the No. 1 Bulldogs, 206-129.
For the Husker women, freshman Carmen Cosgrove aided NU with a pair of individual victories on the weekend. Cosgrove added to her victory Friday night in the 200-yard butterfly with a win in the 100-yard event Saturday (56.61).
Sophomore Jeni Fortino captured the three-meter springboard with a score of 378.
Freshman Jackie Lobdell also chipped in a victory in the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.90).
Sophomores Keri Hehn (500-yard breast 2:13.86) and Michelle Schmerbauch (100-yard fly 1:01.11) as well as freshmen Barbara Auer (200-yard back 2:06.26) and Lauren Seymour (500-yard free 5:10.80) all added runner-up finishes for the Big Red.
The NU 200-yard free relay also came up victorious, touching the wall in 1:39.76.
This weekend wrapped up the regular season for the Huskers. The NU women are next in action at the Big 12 Championships in College Station, Texas from Feb. 14-17.
