Huskers Rebound Against Tigers

Lincoln-The University of Nebraska women's tennis team came back after a 4-5 setback to Texas A&M on Sunday to defeat Missouri 8-1 on Tuesday in Columbia. With the win, Nebraska improves its record to 16-2 on the season and 4-2 in the Big 12.

Nebraska swept all six singles matches with Ndali Ijomah, Maria Fernandez, and Katarina Balan all rebounding from losses on Sunday. Senior Sandra Noetzel is now one win away from her 100th career victory after defeating Marina Zelenovic 6-0, 6-1. Noetzel will look to claim her 100th victory on Sunday against Baylor.

The Huskers only lost one match all day. Senior Gina Pelazini and freshman Maria Fernandez lost at No. 2 doubles to Andrea Friedman and Julie Thomas 9-8.

Nebraska will be in action again on Sunday when they face No. 18 Baylor in Waco at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 9.
