Huskers Finish Fourth at Green Wave Women's Golf Classic

New Orleans, La. --The Nebraska women's golf team finished fourth at the Green Wave Women's Golf Classic in New Orleans, La., on Tuesday. The Huskers shot a 322 in the third and final round to boost their two-day score to 940 - 17 strokes behind tournament champion Tulane, which won the tournament with a score of 923. Campbell finished second with 326, followed by South Florida at 932.

Sophomore Sarah Sasse led the Huskers, finishing eighth individually with rounds of 74, 75 and 81 for an 11-over-par score of 230 at the Lakewood Country Club. Sasse trailed leader Meredeth Ward of Vanderbilt by 12 strokes. NU sophomore Catha Fogelberg finished 12th, two strokes behind Sasse, firing rounds of 74, 78 and 80 for a 13-over-par score of 232.

Amy Roux saved her best round for last as the Nebraska junior shot a 76 on Tuesday, following rounds of 81 and 79 on Monday. Roux finished 20th with a 17-over-par score of 236. Senior Elizabeth Bahensky posted rounds of 82, 78 and 85 for a 26-over-par 245, to finish 45th, while freshman Amanda Krane rounded out the Husker lineup shooting rounds of 79, 87 and 85 for a 32-over-par 251, to finish in 65th.

The Huskers will travel to Austin, Texas, Friday for the Betsy Rawls Classic.
