Lubbock, Texas -- The Nebraska women's golf team finished in fourth place today at the Jeannine McHaney Invitational at the Lubbock Country Club in Lubbock, Texas. The Huskers shot rounds of 307-313-316 to finish 17 strokes behind first-place Texas Tech.
The Huskers were led by sophomore Sarah Sasse as the Lincoln native fired rounds of 72-83-77 to finish the day tied for ninth place, 12 strokes behind leader Linda Chen of UTEP. Sophomore Amanda Sutcliffe (Gunnedah, New South Wales) fired a 236 to finish in 22nd place.
Junior Amy Roux (Lincoln, Neb.) finished with a score of 237, good for a share of 25th place. Sophomore Catha Fogelberg (Helsingborg, Sweden) fired a 238 while senior Elizabeth Bahensky (Kearney, Neb.) rounded out the Husker lineup with a score of 242.
