Huskers fall 4-3 to San Diego

Lincoln - The No. 66 Nebraska men's tennis team fell to the Toreros of San Diego 4-3 today at the University of San Diego Invitational. Individual winners for the Huskers included No. 1 singles player Dinko Verzi, who defeated Ricardo Rizo in two sets 7-6, 7-6, No. 2 singles player Lance Mills, who picked up a win against Mattias Tangefjord 6-4, 6-2, and No. 3singles player Jorge Abos Sanchez. Abos Sanchez defeated German Maldonado 1-6, 6-1, 7-6.

Abos Sanchez and Mills picked up NU's lone doubles win, beating San Diego's Tangefjord and Taylor 8-2 at No. 2 doubles.
