Husker Harriers at Midwest Regional Championships

LINCOLN, Neb. The University of Nebraska mens and womens cross country will travel to Wichita, Kan., to participate in the Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships. The meet will be held at the Raft Recreational Ranch in Wichita, Kan., on Saturday, Nov. 14. The womens 5,000-meter run is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., followed by the mens 10,000-meter event, which is slated to take place at noon.

Bradley, Chicago State,Creighton, DePaul, Drake, Eastern Illinois, Illinois, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois State, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Loyola, Minnesota, Missouri, Missouri-Kansas City, Northern Illinois,Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, St. Louis, Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri, Southwest Missouri, Tulsa and Western Illinois,Wichita State will be participating in the meet.

The Nebraska womens team is looking to have another great showing at this years meet. Last year the Huskers finished second behind Missouri and only one Husker placed in the top five. This year Nebraska is looking to place two in the top five in Amy Wiseman and freshman Jeannette Zimmer. The Husker men are looking to again finish in the top five. They finished third last year behind Oklahoma State and Minnesota.
