Notes:No. 10 Nebraska extended a school record with its ninth consecutive shutout and knocked off a top-five opponent for the first time in school history with a 5-0 win over No. 4 Duke in Durham, N.C. The Huskers stretched their winning streak to nine games, a span in in which Nebraska outscored its opponents, 45-0. Husker goalkeeper Rebecca Hornbacher recorded three saves to stretch Nebraska's streak without allowing a goal to 847:29. Sophomore striker Lindsay Eddleman had her best day of the season with a three-goal performance, including the game winner just 1:13 into the match off an assist from Kim Engesser. It was Eddleman's second hat trick of her Husker career. She recorded her first hat trick in a 10-2 win over Colorado on Oct. 13, 1996. Amy Walsh added two goals off the bench in her best day as a Husker. Although the Blue Devils entered the contest on a seven-game winning streak, Nebraska completely dominated the action from start to finish. The Huskers attempted 13 shots on goal, while the Husker defense held Duke to just four shots on goal and six total shots.
