Notes: No. 10 Nebraska set a school record with its seventh straight shutout and extended its streak of consecutive scoreless minutes to 667:29 with a 5-0 win over San Diego in front of 972 fans at the Abbott Sports Complex. The Huskers snapped the prvious scoreless streak of 596:37, set in 1995. Nebraska outscored its opponents 37-0 during the seven-game stretch. The shutout streak was never seriously threatened by the Toreros, as Rebecca Hornbacher recorded her only save early in the second half. San Diego managed only one shot on goal among its four shots. While the defense stymied San Diego, the offense applied intense pressure throughout. Senior All-America Kari Uppinghouse struck first with a goal at 9:11, her fourth-game winning goal of the season. Kim Engesser added her 14th goal of the season off an assist from Kristen Gay, before Uppinghouse struck with her ninth goal of the year off an assist from Tanya Wright to give the Huskers a 3-0 lead at intermission. Gay scored on a header off a Sharolta Nonen corner kick at 74:15, before Becky Hogan finished the scoring off an assist from Stephanie Vacek at 80:04.
