Omaha, Neb. -- Sophomore first baseman Nicole Trimboli went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and a career-high five RBIs to lead the fourth-ranked Nebraska softball team to a 7-0 win at Creighton Wednesday night. With the victory, the Huskers improved to 29-5 overall and extended their school-record winning streak to 23.

Leigh Ann Walker (15-2) picked up the win for NU, tossing a one-hit shutout. The senior righthander struck out a season-high 14 batters and did not allow a base runner until the fourth inning. Kristan Melton (4-8) took the loss for Creighton (9-17), allowing five runs on eight hits in 5.0 innings of work.
