No. 4 Huskers Cruise to 9-0 Win Over Tulsa

Lincoln -- The No. 4 Nebraska soccer team scored three goals in the first 20 minutes of action and breezed to a 9-0 win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in front of 1,359 fans at the Abbott Sports Complex in Lincoln on Friday.
Nebraska, which improved to 8-1-0 with the victory, received a pair of goals from midfielder Shannon Tanaka in the first 12 minutes to set the tone. Tanaka, a sophomore from Calgary, Alberta, notched the game-winning goal and the first goal of her career at the 4:32 mark off an assist from All-America defender Sharolta Nonen. Tanaka added her second goal at the 11:29 mark.
Sophomore forward Kelly Rheem gave the Huskers a 3-0 cushion off an assist from All-America defender Isabelle Morneau at 18:31, before sophomore midfielder Danica Carey sent Nebraska to the locker room at halftime with a 4-0 lead by posting the first goal of her career at the 35:17 mark.
