Morgantown, W.Va.-The Nebraska wrestling team split a pair of duals Sunday afternoon in Morgantown, W.Va., topping Bloomsburg, 49-6, before falling to 10th-ranked West Virginia, 30-21. The 20th-ranked Huskers are now 8-5 on the season.
The 49-point performance against Bloomsburg marked the most points scored in a dual by NU since the 1982-83 season (Jan. 22, 1983 vs. Colorado School of Mines, 55-0). Each of the nine Huskers that took to the mat against Bloomsburg scored bonus points, including five falls, two major decisions, a technical fall and a forfeit.
The only points Nebraska gave up came at 197 pounds where Coach Mark Manning forfeited because of the absence of sixth-ranked Justin Ruiz, who chooses not to compete on Sunday
