Despite a solid effort from Christy Harms and the No. 10 Nebraska soccer team, the Huskers tied second-ranked North Carolina, 1-1, in the season opener at the Abbott Sports Complex Friday night before a record crowd of 4,830 fans.
Harms scored the first goal just 1:55 into the game over the head of UNC goalkeeper Jeni Branam. The Husker junior from Blue Springs, Mo., created her own goal from 20 yards out for her 18th career goal.
