Nebraska wins 4-2 at No. 20 Baylor
Waco, Texas -- For the second straight game, freshman leftfielder Nicole Trimboli produced a game-winning RBI as the No. 15 Nebraska softball team defeated No. 20 Baylor, 4-2, Saturday afternoon at Getterman Stadium. Trimboli led all Huskers at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI as Nebraska improved to 32-10 overall and 6-1 in the Big 12 Conference.
Leigh Ann Walker (12-5) picked up the win for NU, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out nine in seven innings of work. Joni Miller (21-7) was the losing pitcher for the Bears (30-13 and 2-2), giving up four runs on eight hits in seven innings.
Trailing 2-1 after the first inning, Nebraska answered in the top of the second when Burgess smacked a 1-2 pitch high over the leftfield fence for her fifth homer of the year and a 1-0 lead. Burgess
