Nebraska Rolls to 3-0 Win at Texas

Lincoln -- The No. 4 Nebraska soccer team scored two goals in the first 20 minutes and cruised to a 3-0 win over Texas in front of 553 fans at Mike A. Myers Soccer Stadium in Austin, Texas, on Sunday.

The Huskers, who improved to 10-1-0 with the win and remained the only unbeaten team in Big 12 Conference play with a 4-0-0 record, wasted little time in getting on the scoreboard, as senior All-America defender Isabelle Morneau notched her second goal of the season on a header off a corner kick from senior All-America defender Sharolta Nonen at the 4:48 mark.

Sophomore forward Kelly Rheem gave the Huskers a two-goal cushion heading into the locker room at halftime with her fourth goal of the season at 19:08 off an assist from sophomore midfielder Shannon Tanaka.

Early in the second half, junior midfielder Jenny Benson added an insurance goal on a penalty kick for the Huskers at 51:22 to secure the victory. Rheem had earned the penalty kick for the Huskers after being taken down in the box by UT
