Latham, Williams Score Two as Nebraska Blanks Boston College

Lincoln, Neb. -- Forwards Christine Latham and Najah Williams each scored two goals as the 11th-ranked Nebraska soccer team blanked Boston College, 5-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the Abbott Sports Complex Thursday evening. The Huskers improved to 16-4-1, while the Eagles ended their season at 11-10-1, before a crowd of 1,061.
Nebraska scored its first three goals in the first 20 minutes, including two scoring shots by Latham, the Big 12 Player of the Year. The Huskers outshot Boston College, 23-9, and outcornered the Eagles, 7-1. Boston College did not take a shot on goal.
