The Nebraska Rifle team looks to continue their winning ways as the team travels to Ohio this weekend for a pair of competitions. On Saturday Nov. 12, the Huskers will shoot at the Buckeye Invitational, before traveling to Akron to face off against the Zips.
The Buckeye Invitational is a meet which is spread out over three weekends with different teams competing each weekend, thus finals scores and results will not be known until Nov. 24, the final day of competition.
Against Akron, the Huskers will be going for their fourth dual win in a row. Nebraska leads the all-time series with Akron, 1-0, having defeated the Zips during the 2000-01 season, 6,155-5,635.
Entering just their second and third competitions of the season, rifle coach Launi Meili feels that the team has been working hard since downing AFA.
