Ruston, La. - Brandon Fusilier drove in three runs, including a two-run homer, leading No. 19 Nebraska to a 13-8 victory over Louisiana Tech Sunday afternoon at J.C. Love Field.
Fusilier, a junior outfielder from Coppell, Texas, belted his second homer of the season, a two-run shot of Louisiana Tech starter Mitch Tucker in the first and added a sacrifice fly, as the Huskers pounded out 14 hits and produced its second straight double-figure run total. Fusilier, who leads the Huskers with 11 RBIs, has driven in seven runs in the last two games for the Huskers, who improved to 4-2 on season with the win.
The Huskers also got a big offensive day from outfielder Jeff Leise (Omaha, Neb.), who tied a career high with four hits, going 4-for-5 with a pair of RBIs and two stolen bases. A first-team All-American last season, Leise was mired in an early season slump, going just 4-for-22 before Sunday
