Huskers Complete Sweep of No. 20 Baylor
Waco, Texas - Danelle Arnold slugged a game-winning RBI double in the top of the seventh to give the No. 15 Nebraska softball team a come-from-behind, 2-1 victory over No. 20 Baylor Sunday afternoon at Getterman Stadium. The Huskers, who defeated BU 4-2 Saturday, improved to 33-10 overall and remain atop the Big 12 Conference standings with a 7-1 mark in league games.
Trailing 1-0 in the top of the sixth, the Huskers tied the score with a manufactured run. Leigh Suhr reached first on an error by Baylor shortstop King. Suhr stole second and advanced to third off a sacrifice bunt by Kim Ogee. Nicole Trimboli grounded out to second as Suhr scored. Jamie Fuente grounded out to third to end the inning. In the bottom of the sixth, the Bears had one out and two runners on base, Leigh Ann Walker struck out Koral King and Burgess threw out Nan Wilkins trying to steal third to end the inning.
