Lincoln-The Nebraska swimming and diving team opens 2003 in Tempe, Ariz., as the team heads to the Valley of the Sun for its annual winter training trip.

 

In addition to practicing for nearly a week in Tempe, the Huskers will travel up to Flagstaff, Ariz., for additional high-altitude training, culminating with a dual against Northern Arizona on Jan. 6.

 

Nebraska Head Coach Pablo Morales, in his second season at Nebraska, knows the benefits of mid-season winter training.
