Holmquist, Kropp Lead Huskers to 3-0 Win at Baylor

Waco, Texas - Middle blockers Amber Holmquist and Jenny Kropp combined for 18 kills to lead top-ranked Nebraska to a 15-5, 15-10, 15-10 victory over Baylor Saturday night before 497 fans at the Ferrell Center.

Holmquist, a sophomore native of Houston, Texas, posted a team-best 10 kills on .368 hitting and a match-best 12 blocks for an impressive 4.00 per game average. Kropp, a junior from Grand Island, Neb., totaled eight kills and one error on 14 attempts for a match-high .500 hitting efficiency. Kropp also recorded a career-best 14 digs.

Sophomore setter Greichaly Cepero posted 39 assists and nine blocks, including three solo stops, while leading Nebraska to a .310 hitting percentage. The Huskers (26-0 overall and 19-0 in the Big 12) have hit .300 or higher 19 times this season.

Defensively, NU held the Bears (14-14, 7-12) to .048 hitting and out-blocked them 16-6. BU freshman Stevie Nicholas, who entered the match averaging nearly six kills per game, had a Baylor-best 12 kills against the Husker blockers. However, Baylor
