Freshman Breisch Leads NU at 2nd Day of adidas Invite

Lincoln, Neb. -- Nebraska freshman Becky Breisch recorded her second NCAA automatic qualifying mark of the season in the shot put and four Huskers posted provisional marks to highlight the second day of action at the adidas Invitational in the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Saturday.
With the eighth-best mark in nation this year, Breisch won the shot put among several of the nation's best throwers before a crowd of 1,522.
"I was very happy with my performance," Breisch said. "I didn't expect to throw this far so early in the season. I'm just taking it one meet at a time."
Breisch finished ahead of Florida's Candice Scott (53-0), who entered the meet ranked third in the nation, Wyoming's Andrea Batt (52-7
