Cold Shooting Sinks Huskers in 69-44 Loss to Baylor - Huskers.com - Nebraska Athletics Official Web Site

Lincoln - Nebraska tied a season low with just 13 made field goals and connected on a season-low 51.7 percent of its free throws, as Baylor shot past the Huskers, 69-44, in front of 2,511 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Wednesday.

With the loss, Nebraska slipped to 8-11 overall and 1-7 in Big 12 Conference play, while the Lady Bears improved to 15-5 overall and 4-4 in league action.

Forward Alexa Johnson led the Huskers with 15 points and four rebounds, but the junior from Hacienda Heights, Calif., was the only Nebraska player to manage double figures. The Huskers hit just 13-of-51 field goals (25.5 percent), their second-worst shooting night of the season, trailing only their 24.1 percent (13-54) accuracy against Oklahoma in the conference opener on Jan. 11.

Despite their cold shooting, the Huskers trailed by just 11 points at halftime, 37-26, but scored a season-low 18 points in the second half, connecting on just 5-of-27 field goals (18.5 percent) after intermission.
