NU Track and Field Hosts 28th Annual Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational - Huskers.com - Nebraska Athletics Official Web Site

The Nebraska track and field team continues its home schedule this weekend when it hosts Air Force, Colorado, Brigham Young, New Mexico, Texas Tech, Wichita State, and Wyoming in the 28th annual Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.

 

The meet opens with field events beginning at 2 p.m. and the running events commence at 4 p.m.  The 4x400-meter relays are the last scheduled event, and are slated to begin at 8:45 p.m.

 

The NU men are coming off a stellar performance at the adidas Classic last weekend, capturing their first five NCAA qualifying marks of the season and one school record.

 

The Husker women also had a good weekend, with one new school record and two new NCAA qualifying performances, to add to the previous eight they had already put together.

 

Nebraska will face conference foes Texas Tech and Colorado for the first time this season.  Ranked teams coming into Lincoln include the 10th-ranked BYU women and the No. 16 Colorado women.

 

Nebraska continues to gear up for the Big 12 Indoor Championships at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, Feb. 28-March 1.

 

Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Competition

 

The Huskers have seen great competition in their first four meets of the season, and the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational is no exception.
