Ames, Iowa -- The 19th-ranked Nebraska baseball team overcame a gutty effort by Iowa State and held on to an 11-9 victory in front of a crowd of 512 fans at Cap Timm Field in Ames, Iowa.

The Huskers, 26-10 overall and 11-5 in the Big 12 Conference, had only eight hits, but were walked 11 times by Iowa State pitchers and stole eight bases to outslug the Cyclones. ISU playing its first conference game of the year at home dropped to 13-24 and 0-16 in the conference.
