Nebraska Drops Two at No. 8 A&M, 16-5, 3-2

College Station, Texas -- Nebraska lost both games of a doubleheader at No. 8 Texas A&M 16-5 and 3-2 in 10 innings in front of a crowd of 4,522 at Olsen Field in College Station.

In the second game, freshman Shane Komine (5-1) pitched the first complete game of his career throwing 9.2 innings in a losing effort.

With the wins, the Aggies swept the three-game series from the Huskers. Nebraska dropped to 20-9 overall and 8-4 in the Big 12 while Texas A&M improved to 28-8 and 11-3.

While Komine was having a solid performance on the mound, Nebraska rallied from a 2-0 deficit scoring single runs in the sixth and eighth innings. In the sixth, John Cole singled and moved to second on a wild pitch before scoring on a single by Jamal Strong. After Strong singled, Brandt Vlieger had a base hit to keep the threat alive.
