Columbia, Mo. - After a three and a half hour rain delay, the decathlon and heptathlon signaled the beginning of the sixth annual Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Husker senior Katherine Livesey leads in the heptathlon with a total of 3,467 points. Livesey placed first in all four of the day's events, breaking two personal records and tying another personal record. In her first event Livesey was able to break her personal record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.60.

"I was very pleased with the time I got in the hurdles," said Livesey. "I just went out there thinking I needed to get a good time despite the rain. When I realized I won, and broke my personal record, I was pleasantly surprised."

The senior from Blackpool, Lancashire, England marked her second personal record of the day when she threw for 37-3
