Senior Christine Latham was named one of 15 female finalists for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy by the NSCAA. The M.A.C. Hermann Trophy is awarded to the top player in NCAA Division I soccer.
Latham was a Hermann Trophy Award finalist last season and has been a Missouri Athletic Club National-Player-of-the-Year finalist for the past two years.
Latham continues to pile on numbers to her Nebraska record-breaking stats. After three games in the Big 12 Tournament, she has accumulated 161 career points, 66 career goals, and 21 game-winning goals.
This season, the Calgary, Alberta, native, has taken 101 shots to increase her career shots record to 390. She has led Nebraska with 13 goals in 2002, including six game winners. She has dominated throughout her four years as a Husker, but never so much as she did against Texas in the Big 12 semifinals. Latham won the game for Nebraska with two incredible breakaways that she planted in the middle of the net.
