By NU Athletic Communications
Peoria, Ariz. -- The Nebraska baseball team let a two-run lead slip away in the final two innings as Oregon State rallied to hand the Huskers their first loss of the season with a 4-3 defeat in front of a crowd of 400 in the Showdown in the Desert at the Peoria Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon.

The Huskers (1-1) scraped to a 3-1 lead entering the bottom of the eighth, but the Beavers clawed back to tie the game in the eighth with two runs and win the game when OSU left field Drew Hedges singled home Corrie Willkie with the game-winning run from second with one out in the bottom of the ninth.
