Huskers Lose Second Straight to Missouri, 9-7

Lincoln, Neb. -- The Nebraska baseball team (30-13 overall and 13-8 in the Big 12 Conference) lost for the second straight day to the Missouri Tigers 9-7 before 655 fans who braved rain and gusting winds on Sunday afternoon at Buck Beltzer Stadium.

The Huskers led 2-1 entering the eighth inning, but sophomore third baseman Danny Kimura committed a key error with two outs and the game tied at two that helped open the door for the Tigers to score four more runs in the inning to take a 6-2 lead. Although the Huskers threatened in the eighth and ninth innings Missouri (28-15 and 10-11) held on for the win.
