Huskers-Cyclones Play 26 innings, Split Doubleheader

Ames, Iowa -- The 19th-ranked Nebraska baseball team rebounded from a tough 6-5 loss in 16 innings to Iowa State in game one of a doubleheader to beat the Cyclones 9-6 in 10 innings in the second game before a crowd of 442 fans at Cap Timm Field in Ames, Iowa.
In a wild afternoon, game one started at noon and the final out of the second game was recorded just after 8 p.m. under fading sunlight. With the split of the doubleheader, Nebraska ended the day with a 27-11 overall mark and a 12-6 Big 12 Conference record. Iowa State is now 14-25 overall and 1-17 in the conference.
