Postgame Quotes vs. Northern Iowa
Sept. 14, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.)
Nebraska 34, Northern Iowa 3
On what he saw on the touchdown
“I saw that I got him squared up so I know that I was supposed to post it, and to be able to get that wide open, it was really a good job by the other wide receivers because they pulled the middle linebackers out so Dylan (Raiola) put a great ball on me and then I just saw it wide open. It was awesome.”
On his first touchdown being at home
“Being able to do it with those guys just made every dream come true real quick there. Being able to do that here, knowing that all my family is here, a lot of friends, and doing it with those teammates that I’ve grown really close with is amazing.”
On his introduction to college football and the Big Ten
“It’s been really good. I think that we’ve got a lot of stuff to improve on, but we’ve got a lot of stuff to build off too. We’ve got to do better with our two-minute. We didn’t execute on that today. So being able to do that down the road is important for us. Being able to take things that we’ve done good and bad, kind of just learn off both.”
On his performance individually
“It’s been growing and it’s been coming along really well. Coach G (Garret McGuire) and the other wide receivers have been doing a really great job at helping me out throughout that. I still don’t think I’m ready in some aspects of course, but that’s because I haven’t had that experience and that’s why it’s great to practice against the guys we’ve been practicing against. We’ll go up against our defense which is awesome because we get a lot of good looks.”
