Nebraska Tight End Thomas Fidone II Pre-Wisconsin Press Conference

On the different quarterbacks and how he interacts with each
“Obviously every player has a different style to them, but we’ve gotten reps with each one of them and they’re all out there doing their thing. I’ve had reps with Chubba (Purdy), I’ve had reps with Heinrich (Haarberg), I’ve had reps with Jeff (Sims). So, I mean obviously it’s a little different with a different quarterback on the ball, the different styles, but it’s all the same in the end.”

On Luke Lindenmeyer and his performance as a teammate
“Yeah he’s a good blocker, he’s got a blocking statue to him and he’s a great blocker. He’s physical upfront and he's good at the job at the role he has. He has a huge role on this team and he’s done a great job at developing into it. It’s good that it’s getting noticed. Sometimes people don’t always see the trenches, people creating the blocks and gaps for the running backs to hit. He’s done a great job at doing that.”

On the adversity within the team and the mindset of the offensive side
“Obviously, it’s upsetting and disappointing. We want to win the game, that’s not a question. At the end of the day it’s the what’s next mentality, it’s probably getting annoying for you all but that’s just how it is. If you get sad about the last game and you focus on the last game, you can’t focus on what’s next. We have to focus on going 1-0 every week and that’s what is important. That’s all that matters, the present. Not being sad and worrying about what happened in the past.”

On this team’s mentality and if he has seen something like this before
“I mean really just high school. We we’re good at that and we had a great culture in high school. We had a similar thing, we didn’t have a what’s next mantra or anything like that. We just bounced back and we knew we could win the games. We knew if we were tied in the fourth quarter, we knew we could win this game. That’s kind of how it is now, we just gotta finish it.”
