On losing Dylan Raiola
“It sucked. I took some responsibility for that and I was really sad when that happened. It was a horror watching that play back over again. I felt terrible for him after the game. I just hugged him. But TJ (Lateef) is going to do great this weekend. He’s a great quarterback. We all knew he was going to start here eventually it’s just a little quicker than we thought.
On supporting TJ Lateef
“It is a lot to take on as a freshman especially when you don’t expect it. We just all rallied behind him and told him we believed in him. I just tried to remind him of that game against Akron that night when he went crazy because that’s the type of player he is and that’s what he can do. This whole program believes in him.”
On preparing to play with TJ Lateef
“Just the intensity at which we practice and play. We have to play a little bit faster and a little bit harder just to make things easier for him and just to get a little bit more of an edge in all phases of the game and just to make life easier for TJ (Lateef).”
